Today I'm feeling blue about cycling...
This card plays along with the latest Stampotique Designer's Challenge. We were tasked with creating a background with our stamps. I used my Polka Dots as well as the Bonne Fete sentiment along with some Distress ink in gorgeous shades of blue. The little Studio Calico wooden bicycles along the bottom were colored black with a Copic marker..
Bonne Fete is a French birthday greeting. I actually googled it to make sure it meant what I thought it meant (LOL!) and learned that it's mostly used in Quebec. I decided to make this card for my French Canadian friend on Twitter, Helene, who celebrated a birthday earlier this month. Her favorite color is blue. She is a fellow cycling fan and has been feeling quite blue as well in recent days. She wrote an emotional blog post (HERE) that touched home with how I'm feeling lately - her Canadian cycling world has been rocked just like my American one.
Of course cards with Stampotique Stamps in pretty shades of blue featuring sweet little bicycles also happen to make me VERY VERY HAPPY - so thanks for the inspiration, Helene, when I was having crafty mental block, and a very happy belated birthday to you!
Happy Stamping,
Fall Honey For The Win

I've been sick for the past few weeks. I got all the shots I could knowing
being around little kids catching a cold was going to happen.
