Today I'm sharing something a bit different, something I wasn't planning to share - but then my daughter became miserable with an ear infection last night, it sort of threw a wrench in my plans! What's that? You thought I had all of these projects made long in advance? C'mon, you know me better than that!! :-) I had planned to stamp and blog last night, but it didn't happen, and today has been spent getting her to the after hours pediatrician, then waiting around the pharmacy for her prescription... so... I figured out something else to blog instead! I hope you enjoy it...
Over the years, when she has time, my mom has handpainted beautiful Christmas ornaments for us. Today I am sharing some of her art, that we are lucky enough to have hanging on our tree. This is the first one she gave us, back in 1998.
She knows I love Pooh, so I got this one that year, too.
In 2000 I got this sweet little primitive-style nativity, that I love! It's a smaller bulb.
In 2006 she surprised us with a couple beauties! First, this ornament celebrating Carter's very first Christmas.
And also this incredible Santa's workshop ornament. This one is her favorite, as well as mine!
In 2008 we received a beautiful dolly for Courtney's first Christmas.
Then a couple more in 2009 - a couple of snowmen for me, because she knows I love them. (Don't miss the sweet bird in his hand!)
And for my husband, a Michigan State Spartan. Go Green! :-)
I know she hasn't had time to paint this year, but my fingers are crossed that sometime we'll find some more of these precious handmade goodies under the tree.
Now head on over and check out what my blogging friends came up with today...
