For today's project I tried a fun technique - mosaic!
I was inspired by seeing Katina Killey's tutorial in Quick Cards Made Easy - a magazine from the UK (the best part about my job, I get to see these awesome cards from magazines around the world when they submit them for publication incentive - woohoo!) :-) I decided to try it on my Texana Designs Barbed Wire Angel. It probably wasn't the best stamp choice - a lot of the detail of the stamp was lost - but I do love how it turned out nonetheless.
In her tutorial, Katina used double-sided adhesive sheet to create the mosaic. That would have made it easier, but I had none so I busted out the Mod Podge. The paper scraps were from a gorgeous Carta Bella paper pad I picked up at i {heart} papers. Once the mosaic was laid out & dry, I stamped the angel with Archival ink & trimmed.
A closer look at the finished mosaic angel. I made the background panel just like Katina's example card, too. :-)
Now head on over and check out what my blogging friends came up with today...
