Do you ever have a stamp that, as soon as you see it, you sort of swoon, and imagine how you'll play with it? That's how I felt about this gorgeous new Painted Flower from Hero Arts. Sigh. So pretty!!
I inked it up with my Memento markers, huffed and stamped. The patterned papers I used are from the Lost & Found Portobello Road collection from My Mind's Eye. I was attempting to do the shabby chic/vintage look, something that's rather far outside of my comfort zone, and I thought this particular paper pack fit the bill pretty well. I also pulled out my stash of seam binding ribbon, which I never touch because it intimidates me. I finally figured out how to tie it, yay! (Although I realize in my photo the bow looks awfully off-center, ah well.)
I tried to get my shabby chic on because I'm playing with the current A Blog Named Hero challenge. It was fun to actually get kicked into trying something different!
