This past weekend I needed a card to celebrate my friend's conversion to Judaism.
I played with a couple sets from Paper Smooches to make this card - Kibitzing Sampler and Kibitzing Icons. (Kibitzing Sampler is in stock at i {heart} papers, HERE!) I began by embossing the stars with some very old Stampin' Up Iridescent Ice embossing powder! Then I used my daughter's simple little Prang watercolor set to paint on some color. After the paint was dry, I went back and added a touch of Stardust Stickles to the stars.
Courtney saw me making this card, and wanted to make one herself, too! She wanted hers to be "just like mom's" and did this on her own, using the same watercolors. She's my little budding artist!
Here's a look at our two cards, together.
I'm so happy to have a mini-me to stamp with! :-)
Thanks for stopping by,

being around little kids catching a cold was going to happen.

ReplyDeleteCourtney...Grammy loves your sweet, beautiful card!! Let's plan on stamping together the next time Papa and I visit, okay?
ReplyDeleteIt is so much fun to have a little crafter beside you in the craft room. Great cards!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is the cutest!
ReplyDeleteOh Libby what a joy to be able to craft with your daughter - mine says she does not have a crafty bone in her body :-( but she does write, and writes well. Looks like my granddaughter is more crafty.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours in your card - it's a beautiful combination.
Blessings

Fabulous card, Courtney! I like your colors and the buttons you used to highlight your words.
ReplyDeleteYou made a great card, too, Mommy. Yay for having a little shadow with you, right? So fun to share a hobby with a little love.
