Starbucks Cup Mania!

Have you been following Kathy Racoosin's fabulous Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge? It's her third time hosting a month-long coloring challenge, and she does an amazing job of inspiring the stamping masses. Exhibit A - her October 1 post. She showed how you could turn a fall Starbucks cup into a beautiful card background!!! Needless to say there was a mad rush of stampers heading to Starbucks to get themselves a cup! I tried two different Starbucks myself with no luck, but THANKFULLY my wonderful neighbor across the street still had one in her minivan that I could have. Thank goodness!! How could I have gone another minute without trying this cool technique??? :-) I was so mesmerized by Kathy's card, I did my background almost identical to hers. Hopefully she knows imitation is the sincerest form of flattery....

In the center of my card, I added this adorable Sleeping Fox by Lia from Hero Arts. The simple word "thankful" from this woodblock set was a perfect sentiment. Because I'm thankful for both sweet sleeping foxes as well as cards made from Starbucks cups. I'm pretty thankful for Kathy Racoosin and her inspiration, too! :-)

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. That Kathy is pretty talented. We had a lot of cup coloring going on last weekend. Mine is still pristine, but I hope to get to it before the end of the month!

  3. What a lovely card Libby - I am miles away from a starbucks, so can't see me ever trying this technique :-)
