Hero Arts Summer Catalog Launch!

Hello hello!! Today the Hero Arts Summer 2016 Products launch in their store, and I'm joining an amazing hop full of fabulous stampers! Wowza I'm super honored to be here with them! You should have arrived by way of Laura Bassen's blog. If you didn't, you might want to head back to Hero Arts to start at the very beginning.

This summer release is so much fun!! It's full of cool travel-themed stamps, as well as beach-themes, lemonade, parks, ice cream, palm trees - pretty much everything that screams "summer".

For today's hop, I'm sharing a couple cards I taught at a tradeshow back in April. It was my first time teaching at a tradeshow, and needless to say I was a basket of nerves. But in the end I had a ton of fun and met a bunch of super sweet store owners. I loved everything about it!!

My first card uses the new Color Layering Ice Cream stamp set and matching dies. I used the ice cream die to create a mask. I tinted some Ranger Texture Paste with Orchid reinker, and applied it to the middle ice cream scoop using the little mask I had created. A little bit of glitter makes it extra fun!

This next card uses some of the travel and adventure-themed stamps. This particular set is called City Adventure. Lots of fun city icons in this set, and a bicycle too, so you know I loved it as soon as I saw the bike! :) I used the coffee and donut for this card.

Is that a donut? Or is it a bagel to go with the NYC feel of this set? I'm not quite sure - I think it could be either! I used masking tape to mask off the center of the card, and later filled that space with a message from Dapper Dad. The images were watercolored - I used Daniel Smith paints (loooove them!) but any watercolors would do.

Here are some happy stampers after my class. It was so much fun!!

And here's all of the awesome summer products, on display at the show. I had the good fortune of having Joan Mills work the show with me, she is absolutely wonderful!

Now let's continue with this hop, shall we? Next up is the lovely and talented Lori Craig! And here's the entire hop list, in case you need it:
