August My Monthly Hero Release + Giveaway!

Hello and welcome! Today I'm hopping along with Hero Arts and friends as they release the August 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit and add-ons. This month's theme is so much fun - knights, dragons, royalty, magical beasts - love love love!

For my card today, I played with a bunch of elements in the main kit.

I began by die cutting a window out of the really neat Mirri Matte Lave paper included in the kit, using a die from the new Medieval Flags Infinity Dies set. This paper is super cool, it's hard to capture in a photo but it has a holographic look to it, it sort of "moves" when you turn it.

I colored a couple images from the kit with my Copics, and cut them out with the matching dies. The "you slay" message cracks me up, so I had to use it! And I turned my die cut piece of purple paper into a little shaker card window, by adhering some acetate and using foam tape to attach it to an Amethyst layer of cardstock. Inside the shaker I used the super cool and shiny "dragon scale" sequins from the kit! Since they are called dragon scales, I had to glue a few to my dragon, too!

Here's a look at the full kit:
And all of the wonderful add-ons this month!
Now it's time to hop! Next up is my amazing friend Lydia Fiedler - I can't wait to see what creative ideas she's had this month! Make sure and visit all of the blogs in the hop and comment for a chance to win a kit! You have until Sunday night, August 11 at 11:59pm. The winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog. Here's the full hop list:
