August 2023 My Monthly Hero Release + Blog Hop!

Today is release day at Hero Arts. The August release is inspired by National Parks - but to me, it looks like the North Georgia mountains! That was my inspiration for my watercolored card today.

For my card, I got our my Liquid Watercolors and had some fun adding color to the die cuts from the August My Monthly Hero kit.

You can see a bit of blue peeking behind the trees. I am picturing a lake between the trees in the foreground, and the tree-covered mountain in the background.

The message is also from the kit, and it's very fitting for whenever I had to North Georgia - "Let nature be your medicine" - indeed! I embossed it in gold, hand cut a little fishtail in the banner and then added some black pen around the edge of the card.

We're hopping today! Be sure to visit these amazing artists, and leave comments as you do. Hero Arts is doing a giveaway of a $50 gift card to one lucky winner, pulled from among all the hop comments.
