Sweet New Baby

Since you haven't seen an actual card on my blog in quite a while, I thought I'd surprise you all and share one tonight.

I tried making a couple cards to submit to the Paper Crafts call last week. This one was for baby cards in non-traditional colors. I wasn't completely thrilled with the card but I submitted it anyway - figure you never know unless you try! Well of course it was a big ol' reject - surprise, surprise! LOL! But this card was sorta like ripping off the band-aid - I did it, I survived - and now maybe I'll actually try submitting again. I've been wanting to for a couple years now and I couldn't get up the courage. For real. So now I'm good to go! :-)

  5. SUPER cute card, what the heck do those magazine people know. :o) I admire your courage (I'm too scared to submit.....flash backs to all those job rejection letters after college) and know you'll see your card in high gloss soon. I LOVE the dots on the elephant!!!

  7. Good for you, Libby. Rejection stinks, but once you can get to the point where you know it's not personal... it's liberating to not have so much of your self-esteem in other people's hands, KWIM?

Still with the elephants, I see... ;)
