For today's project, I made some ornament tags using the main kit. The stamps in the kit are solid images, so I used one of my favorite techniques. I stamped in Unicorn pigment ink on Sand cardstock, then colored with my colored pencils! I love how this turns out.
Just be sure the Unicorn ink is dry before you begin coloring. Once I had my scenes built, I assembled the ornaments, paper-piecing the toppers. I finished them off with a little twine. I think these would make adorable gift tags!
Here's a look at the full kit from today's release!
And the fabulous add-ons:
I'm part of a fun blog hop, sharing inspiration for using the kit and add-ons. Be sure to visit all the artists in the hop - Hero Arts is giving away a $50 gift card to one lucky person who comments somewhere along the hop!

I learned a new technique today that I can't wait to try. Thanks. The cards are beautiful by the way.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute ornaments. :)
ReplyDeleteLibby, these tags are adorsble, and so doable! Thanks, too, for the tip on stamping first in white ink. So many suggest coloring images first in white, but when you've got solid images, this is a perfect alternative!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea! I never knew about the colored pencils over Unicorn ink, which I have! Thank you so much for the idea!
ReplyDeleteOh Libby, this is so sweet! I haven't tried the coloring over unicorn, yet--I assume you dry it first? (I have used white pencil, and then added the color)
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely tags!!

Your ornaments are delightful, Libby. One of the reasons I purchased this kit! I need to expand my use of coloring images rather than always simply stamping.
