Last month,
Monica issued a design team challenge to use badge holders in a crafty way, and as part of
my project I incorporated one of
Hambo's hilarious signature stamps into my design. These are the ones you'd typically stamp onto the back of your card - but why stop there? Monica agreed, and used this as our June design team challenge - to use a signature stamp in any way other than the traditional "back of card" way. So this is what I came up with. The stamp actually says "100% Recycled Ideas" - it was one of the very first Hambo stamps I ordered, long before I ever imagined I'd be part of any design team or consider Ms. Hambo Herself to be one of my best stamping friends! If you read this blog, you know why I *needed* this stamp - I am always turning to various blog or SCS challenges for inspiration! But for this card, I used markers to ink up the stamp, omitting the "ideas" portion, to turn it into an Earth Day card! Now that I think about it, it would have been funny to just leave the "ideas" on there - as if recycling
ideas is helping out the Earth! LOL! The "Happy Earth Day" sentiment is also from Hambo, but the Earth image was drawn by me - as I have no doubt you probably guessed! I was very proud of myself for also finding a purpose for those tree brads that have been in my stash FOREVER! Well thanks for checking out my card today - if you haven't already, hop on over and see what
Monica did, and the other DT girls
Isabelle,
Holly and
Colleen. And if you think of any fun new ways to bring
your signature stamps to the
front, be sure to let us know!
