12 Days of Holiday Projects - Day 5!

It's day 5 of my holiday projects - five days gone in December already!! This month is going to fly by and we all have soooo many things to do! But during all of the busy hectic rush to get everything done, here's a little reminder for you...

Ah yes - take a deep breath, keep calm, and create something beautiful. Like a card! The fun message is from Stampotique, called Keep Calm. I mounted it on foam dots over a background of various washi tapes on a woodgrain patterned paper. See that stitching? Notice how much I've been stamping lately? I had this theory that I lost my mojo the day my Janome Sew Mini died on me. I used to sew on ALL my cards and I was lost without it. Well - my father-in-law took a look at it for me when he was here for Thanksgiving. Do you know what was wrong with it?? It was jamming up because there was TOO MUCH ADHESIVE globbed up on the bottom of the presser foot. Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. All that time without it, and it was only because I've sewn through too much glue that I couldn't use it! A simple cleaning with a wet wipe and I'm back in business!!

Today I'm playing along with this week's Stampotique Designer's Challenge. Gez challenged us to "get sentimental" - use sentiment stamps on our projects. I took this VERY literally and ONLY used a sentiment stamp!! LOL! But you don't have to do that, you just need to include a sentiment somwhere on your project. I hope you'll play along with us!

Now head on over and check out what my blogging friends came up with today...
