Today's post is ridiculously late, I apologize. Perhaps I should have taken that Tour de Craft rest day afterall! There's been too much fun going on outside of the blog. My brother is in town for a visit - yesterday the rain cleared for a bit so we finally celebrated the 4th of July in Atlanta, and today we took my brother to some Atlanta sites. But, I couldn't let today end without a blog post, especially after my favorite team kicked some cycling butt yesterday in the mountains!! Today I have an Argylerific card, in honor of the awesome effort of Team Garmin-Sharp in the Pyrenees!
I've had this cool bike stamp in my collection for quite a while, and this is the first time I've actually inked it up - oh the humanity! It's from Stampington & it's called, you guessed it, "Cyclist". I thought the "life is good" sentiment was fitting, because when the boys in argyle are attacking and winning stages, life IS good! I attempted to color the cyclist in Garmin-esque colors, although the image isn't quite right - there's no way they'd be wearing longsleeve kits while climbing mountains on a hot day in the Pyrenees! If you look closely, you'll also notice a little argyle on the card - I have an argyle-print embossing folder I used in the background. I tried my best to match my paper to Garmin blue, and this is the closest I had. Yes, it pained me that it wasn't 100% perfect. But it is pretty close.
Check out this photo of Dan Martin, winner of Stage 9, from the Team Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda Facebook page. Doesn't he look like my card?? :-)
I also have the winner from Friday's giveaway - congratulations to Lysa, who said: "Great pages! I just some PL page inserts myself... planning on mixing them in with my "regular" scrapbook pages. :) Thanks for the chance to win some Hero Arts goodies!" Lysa, please send me an email to stampinlibby@gmail.com and I'll get these sets out to you!
Thanks for stopping by,

Love the movement in the image and the background which reflects the team colours, and the argyle :-).
